Scope of Work
Building Markets seeks a qualified supplier to provide and deliver mentorship services for 50 SMEs consisting of Turkish and refugee-owned businesses (vast majority of which are Syrian) operating in Turkey. In order to successfully operationalize mentorship assistance for entrepreneurs selected to receive guidance under the auspices of the “Business Mentors for Cohesion” project, mentorship activities consist of the following components:
- Identification of mentors, based on agreed minimum qualifications and experience
- Identification of mentees, based on approved metrics and classification (as needed, in addition to list provided by Building Markets). Mentees identified by the Supplier will be verified by BM, prior the mentoring service provided.
- Training mentors on delivery of mentorship services according to the needs of the mentees and the specifications of Building Markets
- Planning and organizing of mentorship sessions, including logistics and administration
- Monitoring, evaluating, and learning from mentorship sessions, capturing shortcomings to refine further sessions, and reporting outcomes and progress to Building Markets periodically, according to the process approved by Building Markets.
- Delivering an impact assessment at the end of the mentorship engagement, according to the criteria determined and methodology approved by Building Markets.
- Collaborative development of roadmap for next steps related to mentorship needs
- Providing mentorship training for 6 mentees who will take a role as mentors in the following stages of the project
- Assigning a coordinator for mentors’ pool with Arabic & Turkish & English language skills and mentorship experience (selected by Building Markets)
- Managing overall process under BM Mentorship Network Director with the supervision of Chief of Party, Building Markets
Mentorship services should be delivered to mentees identified in 4 project cities; Istanbul, Bursa, Mersin and Hatay in the following languages; Turkish, English and Arabic. Mentorship services are aimed to kick-off in May 2019 and end by August 2019.
