National Finance Manager

Kuehne+Nagel Turkey is looking for a team oriented, passionate and solution oriented National Finance Manager for its national office in Basaksehir.


Your Role

As a National Finance Manager, you will have national responsibility and accountability to oversee all financial aspects of company, finance department and finance team, the flow of financial information to senior management and external parties in alignment with global financial strategy of Kuehne + Nagel.


Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the performance of finance team
  • Manage financial resources of the company and resource planning
  • Responsible for strategic planning in close coordination with Business Management
  • Overall control of company’s accounting function, financial planning; budgets, business performance of the company
  • Set financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy of the company
  • Responsible for improving business performance of the company including development and maintenance of Management Information Systems (MIS)
  • Design local financial policies, rules and regulations and ensure compliance in accordance with Corporate Guidelines and Accounting Standards
  • Ensure strict control of all financial transactions, accountancy matters, including audit systems, corporate finance, policies/working instructions, working capital, debt, equity and acquisitions
  • Ensure all functions and programs under charge are performed within established budgetary parameter
  • Responsible for maintaining finance KPIs (AR, DSO, etc.) at the targeted levels
  • Perform verification and reconciliations tasks for invoices/receipts/ balances according to Financial Guidelines
  • Lead financial process improvements in cooperation with CoE Finance and lead and manage the administrative affairs and procurement team
  • Oversee, administer and approve payroll processes in line with processes and corresponding catalogue of competences, coordinate relevant data with HR division
  • Ensure compliance with local relevant financial, statutory and direct / indirect tax regulations, perform all relevant and connected audits and implement corrective actions if and where needed


Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor‘s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 10 years of extensive finance and accounting experience in an international environment
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience working with, and leading a multi-cultural team
  • ACCA or equivalent Accounting certificate
  • Previous experience in logistics, shipping or airline industry would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in Turkish and English written and spoken.
