Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for Developer who specialises in Quadient to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of Customer Communication Management (CCM) and technical processes for Communications specialising in Quadient (formally GMC). The role holder will deliver the technical transformation of Customer Communications to ensure best practice CCM (architecture, logic and document structure). 

What you’ll be doing 

  • To ensure customer centric communications that are best in class by using document composition tools (Quadient), and ensuring seamless delivery of accurate, timely, consistent and personalised customer communications (documentation, letters, SMS and emails) and print processes.
  • To create application / document structures whilst maintaining and creating a library of specifications to ensure robust change control procedures are in place.
  • To work with agile methodologies (writing user stories, estimating capacity etc.) to deliver communications changes to support any product, customer experience or regulatory transformation to meet sprint deadlines.
  • To be a technical point of contact for document composition, analytics, production and print processes by providing technical input into projects, consulting with stakeholders to understand requirements in order to deliver identified business needs.
  • To take ownership of production issues and ensure resolution in an effective and professional manner. Working with external third-party suppliers, software vendors or development teams and providing formal feedback as part of the Supplier Management governance process.
  • To manage the scheduling of production jobs using Quadient Scaler and delivery rules for Quadient Omni-channel enabling our digital first strategy.
  • Investigating, analysing and documenting legacy document composition technical specifications and processes to ensure transformation readiness.
  • To prioritise customer centric improvements which remove friction from the customer journey with inclusion consideration and vulnerable customers in front of mind.

Qualifications

  • Quadient qualification/training (Designer, Scaler, Interactive, Omnichannel & Messenger) or comparable CCM qualification essential
  • Highly proficient in Quadient (Designer, Scaler, Interactive, Omnichannel & Messenger)
  • Other document composition experience desirable
  • Knowledge of SQL, JSON, XML, and HTML
  • IBM MVS Mainframe knowledge in a support or development role preferable.
  • Previous Coding experience, preferably Visual Basic, JAVA script but an exposure to any kind of programming language would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Analytics desirable not essential
  • Understanding of the ways in which customer data is created, gathered, transferred and manipulated.
  • Experience with Messaging (JMS & MQ/Active MQ)
  • Quadient experience essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills essential.
  • Good team player.
  • Experience working in agile / scrum methodology.
  • Ability to travel to other L&G sites and Supplier sites as and when required.
