ILAC is searching for a dynamic and customer service focused Homestay Coordinator (Turkish, Portuguese or Spanish speaking) to join our ILAC Toronto Homestay Department. This is a full-time position based in Toronto.

Job Summary

As the frontline person, the Homestay Coordinator plays a pivotal role as the first point of contact for students as well as homestay families. The Homestay Coordinator orchestrates the relationship between Students, Homestay families, and ILAC by proactively and promptly responding to inquiries, resolving concerns and handling all Student-Homestay Families related requests. Between answering phone calls from Students and Homestay Families, closely monitoring online requests and matching ILAC students with homestay families, the Homestay Coordinator ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience for Students as well as Homestay Hosts while delivering highest levels of client satisfaction as measured by customer satisfaction surveys, and highest occupancy rates.

Key areas of responsibility and accountability:

· Coordinate all inquiries from host families, students, and internal departments related to HS placements;

· Coordinate pre-bookings for potential students, extensions and placements for students who are accepted to school;

· Establish and continuously build productive and healthy relationships with homestay families;

· Handle and resolve homestay concerns and issues, and ensure customer service satisfaction with the solution provided;

· Exhibit ross-cultural awareness and sensitivity to all cultures while acting with tact and diplomacy at all times;

· Handle emergency phone line on rotation basis;

· Send a Homestay surveys to students, analyze and summarize results;

· Prepare various types of reports and schedules internally needed for HS department operation;

· Visit Homestay families as may be required;

· Enforce policies and procedures established by ILAC;

· Other duties as required.

Requirements

· University or college degree/diploma in business or related field, or an appropriate combination of education and experience;

· 1-2 years of successful relevant experience, preferably in Education industry, Customer Service, Hotel, Travel, and Tourism, Residence and Accommodation;

· Excellent customer care and service excellence attitude;

· Strong computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word;

· Complete fluency in either Turkish, Portuguese or Spanish, and English
