Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul
Set to open in early 2021, Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul, will be Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s second hotel in Turkey. The hotel will enjoy a prime location on the sunny shores of the Bosphorus, situated on the European side of Istanbul in the high-end residential Kuruçeşme neighborhood.
The urban resort, with its lush generous enchanted gardens, will feature two outdoor pools and private wooden pavilions on the shores of the Bosphorus. Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul will be comprised of 100 spacious guestrooms and suites, innovative restaurants & bars and expensive and elegant banqueting facilities. Spread over 2,700 square meters, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul will become one of Istanbul’s best wellness and beauty destination.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the profitability, efficiency and creativity in each Food and Beverage venue including banqueting, outside catering events and in-room dining.
- Partner with Sales & Marketing to increase exposure and coverage of the Food & Beverage venues in various local and international media.
- Analyze and control food and beverage cost in order to achieve financial targets.
- Approve menus, prices and promotional events for allFood & Beverage venues in order to maximize revenue generating opportunities.
- Identify areas for improvement in service and food & beverage quality by reviewing various service quality audit reports, guest comments and guest incident reports, and formulate action plans.
- To encourage proactive, efficient and effective inter-departmental communication and working practices in order to promote a climate of teamwork, enthusiasm and productivity.
- To conduct and assist colleagues counseling and disciplinary procedures in accordance with Mandarin Oriental, Bosphorus procedures.
- To ensure that Mandarin Oriental, Bosphorus grooming and appearance standards are implemented and maintained to reflect an image of professionalism and care.
- Stay attentive to market trends in culinary arts, beverages and service style in order to induce creativity in the operation.
- To carry out annual appraisals on all colleagues using the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Performance and Development System PROFILE.
- To ensure that the health and safety company standards are maintained and carried out. They must be monitored regularly to ensure maximum compliance on the MOHG health and safety audit.
- To develop and implement and maintain the Standard Operating Procedures for the Division.
- To ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance to standards and procedures manual and the Legendary Quality Experience (LQE).
- Maintain a team of well-trained and motivated colleagues in order to deliver a high level of service according to Group’s and international luxury hotel standards.
- Meet and greet all VIPs and influential clients and ensure there is follow-up on all discussed details.
- Be part of the Executive Committee team and provides advice and support in decisions and projects relating to the entire resort.
- To liaise with the Learning and Development Manager on departmental learning and development needs.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Hotel Manager andGeneral Manager from time to time.
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in similar position for a luxury hotel.
- Excellent communication skills both in Turkish & English
- Adheres to, supports and carries out the strategic Company’s vision and values.
- Committed to developing colleagues.
- Prior experience in a renovation or pre-opening luxury hotel environment.
