Turkish Pizza (Pide) Maker

Term of Employment: 2-year position with the possibility of extension

Hours of Work: Full-time, around 35 hours/week

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma

Experience: Must have a minimum of three to five years of experience working with the wood-fired oven in making authentic Turkish cuisine pizza, pide, and bread

Koz Bingol Restaurant is a Canadian company that provides an authentic Turkish culinary experience, using traditional Turkish recipes and fresh ingredients.

Koz Bingol Restaurant, located at 6255 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON, M2R 2A5, is currently looking to hire one (1) experienced full-time Turkish Pizza (Pide) Maker. The Cook will be primarily responsible for planning and directing pizza, pide, and bread preparation in line with Turkish cuisine and culture, as well as halal food standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Prepare authentic Turkish pizza, pide, and bread following our standard of quality;

· Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings, such as tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and meats;

· Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked;

· Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces;

· Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards;

· Clean preparation areas and take care of leftovers;

· Stock inventory and supplies;

· Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff;

· Monitor the temperature of the ovens as well as cooking times;

· Manage all food order slips and ensuring that customers’ orders are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

· Must have a minimum of three to five years of experience working with the wood-fired oven in making authentic Turkish cuisine pizza, pide, and bread;

· Have deep knowledge of Turkish cuisine and culture

· Good understanding of various pizzas preparing techniques
