Turkish Charcoal Grill Cook

Term of Employment: 2-year position with the possibility of extension

Hours of Work: Full-time, around 35 hours per week

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma

Experience: Must have a minimum of three to five years of experience in charcoal grilling authentic Turkish cuisine

Koz Bingol Restaurant is a Canadian company that provides an authentic Turkish culinary experience, using traditional Turkish recipes and fresh ingredients.

Koz Bingol Restaurant, located at 6255 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON, M2R 2A5, is currently looking to hire one (1) experienced full-time Turkish Charcoal Grill Cook. The Cook will be primarily responsible for preparing and charcoal grilling in line with Turkish cuisine and culture, as well as halal food standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Slice, cut, shred, tenderize, and skewer meat and vegetables;

· Braise and grill meat and vegetables;

· Ensure ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption;

· Prevent cross-contamination;

· Prepare meals in accordance with customers’ preferences;

· Track the components of each meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner;

· Liaise with waitstaff once orders are finalized;

· Ensure that the workstation remains clean and orderly at all times;

· Inform the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement;

· Track inventory to ensure that you always have adequate supplies.

Requirements

· Must have a minimum of three to five years of experience in charcoal grilling authentic Turkish cuisine

· Have deep knowledge of Turkish cuisine and culture

· Commitment to the production of high-quality outputs and excellent customer service.
