Software Development Engineer (Java)

Summary of the role

Java Software Development Engineer role, you’ll be a member of the R&D Business Unit and global engineering community and find a chance to collaborate in the definition of the strategy of the Software Development; technological framework and functional approach in Agile Environment. You’ll also find a chance to work on the implementation of Amadeus solutions in different countries.

In this role you’ll find a chance to;

• Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain software solutions
• Work with CI/CD flows
• Get familiar with Containerization
• Automatize activities with scripting and/or tools
• Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies
• Collaborate in the validation/acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalize the product
• Mentor and internal/external reference within the knowledge of Product / Solution and the Software development cycle
• Foster innovation and operational performance in the deployment of new functionalities, services and technologies

About Ideal Candidate

To succeed in Java Software Development Engineer role, you’re required to have relevant experience in the following areas;

• Java and Java Enterprise Edition Technologies, Spring or Hibernate frameworks,
• NoSQL (Couchbase, mongo db…)
• Cloud experience (aws, google cloud, azure,…) is a plus
• Experience on CI/CD (Continuous Integration – Continuous Delivery) flows is a plus
• Phyton/shell scripting experience is a plus
• Experience with Angular is preferable,
• Knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and multithreaded applications is a plus.
