Regional Risk & Claims Manager

As a Regional Risk & Claims Manager you will handle all claims for marine cargo and marine liability claims and resolve them by contacting Nacora stations.

Your Role

Nacora is a member of the Kuehne + Nagel Group operating as an independent broking firm, specialising in the provision of risk management and insurance services for the transport and logistics industry. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Risk & Claims Manager with a background in either broking, claims handling or law. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to a career in Insurance to join our team of experts on a permanent full-time basis.

Your Responsibilities

• Professional handling of marine liability claims for the ME countries/Turkey/Egypt
• Provide day-to-day support to Kuehne+Nagel staff on claims related matters
• Accurate financial and administrative management of marine liability claims through claims management system, including effective e-filing system
• Provide transparency in claim statistics through reporting to the national and regional management on monthly or quarterly basis and liaise with Regional Legal Department on material claims
• Manage active recoveries against subcontractors according to the marine liability insurance policy
• Ensure that all claims are handled and processed in line with the Claims Centre operating procedures
• Conduct effective branch trainings to Kuehne+Nagel’s staff on claims handling procedures and transport law
• Highlight importance of cargo insurance as risk transfer vehicle during claim reports/branch trainings

Your Skills and Experiences

• Strong background within Insurance/Brokers field specifically within the Claims department. Knowledge of freight forwarding business is beneficial
• Minimum 5 years of experience in marine liability claims handling
• Strong detail-orientation, co-ordination and organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English
• Ability to communicate at the right level to the target audience
• Persuasiveness, strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
