Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Work in close alignment with the Sales & Commercial Teams in the Market:
It is a customer facing role which involves:
Leading the organizational change, to build and execute solutions relevant to the market to help sales and business team to increase sales and profitability.
Meeting healthcare customers (Public and Private Hospitals, income sharing imaging centers etc.) along with Sales & business team to identify the needs of the customers and build financial solutions meeting the customer requirements.
Meeting Retail Chains, Supermarket, Electronic retail chains etc. retailing Personal health products, to build trade financing solutions
Building/Improving Distributor financing solutions for both Healthcare and Personal health group, based on customer needs.
Work with the Banks and Financial Institutions:
Should have a good understanding and relationships in the banking industry to be able to convince banks and financial institutions to offer financing solutions to Philips customers and channel partners, as the case maybe.
Work within internal Philips team of Philips Capital, Business Development, Finance team:
Team up on building innovative solutions, structuring & securing financing for our customers within the accounting policies and guidelines of Philips to ensure minimal or low risk to Philips Balance Sheet.
Team up with other Philips Capital colleagues to bring innovative financing structures and suitable financing sources
Prepare the Information memorandum for the project and present it to financial institutions to arrange the funding required for our clients.
You are responsible for
Deal Origination & Solutions Provided
Help sales team win more by providing locally relevant financing products and programs for both the private and public sector customers. The key metrics for success will be the business volumes generated/enabled for the sales & commercial team through financing solutions.
Originate & execute financing transactions based on both standard financing products such as financial lease, operating lease, factoring and more complex structured financing products such as Export Credit Agency or private insurance backed buyer/supplier credit structures
Risk Analysis & Portfolio Management
Assess deal structures and terms, manage due diligence process, engage with financial institutions & customers and negotiate deal terms and conditions, as appropriate.
Carry out detailed financial analysis of the client financials, feasibility reports and develop credit/investment proposals in line with Philips Capital policies and guidelines.
Support the Philips Capital team in analyzing complex financial and business models including to assess project viability, efficiency & profitability, analyzing Capital Expenditure / Project Finance Proposal
Support the Philips Capital META team for projects across Middle East, Turkey & Africa especially in credit evaluations, preparing proposals, internal memorandums and reporting
Back office support for financing transactions, collections team, financial controllers and third party banks
Track deals in pipeline, in shipment and deals closed
Following up payments and updating various tools such as salesforce.com
Embed Philips Capital in the Market
Build relationships with key stakeholders and other business units / product specialists to incorporate their expertise and train the sales/business team on selling integrated value propositions from Philips (including financial solutions).
Participate in various industry seminars and conference to build presence of Philips Capital in healthcare and banking industry.
You will be part of the Philips Capital Middle East, Turkey & Africa (META) team and report to the Philips Capital Leader for Middle East & Turkey.
While your primary focus will be originating and executing financing deals in Turkey, you will also be expected to actively support on projects across Middle East, Turkey & Africa (META market).
You will work cross sector i.e. across Health Systems & Personal Health businesses of Philips.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Bachelors Degree in Finance ideally with a supporting professional finance qualification
- 5-8 years’ experience either in leasing arms of banks with experience of working in the credit department and also customer facing experience of deal origination & execution or in a captive financing arm of a corporate
- Experience of working in Turkey and willing to work/travel in META.
- Experience of modelling and analyzing P&L, cash flows, balance sheets
- Experience of working with/for credit insurers in the region and working on PPP transactions and Healthcare Projects in Turkey is preferred.
- Experience of working in Middle East countries is preferred
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and ability to team up with various departments/functions.
- Strong process orientation and discipline.
- Able to work in matrix structure and in culturally diverse & virtual teams
