Localization Test Technician

Tesla is looking for a User Experience Localization Test Technician to join our team. Our team focuses on localizing all new UI features on the various vehicle Infotainment displays (Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y etc.). You will work with developers, product managers and designers to ensure we are delivering the best user experience for our global markets when new features are added to the UI. You will put on your customer hat while performing your day-to-day duties and make sure we provide the most awesome experience imaginable. The ideal candidate combines excellent translation skills, localization experience, software testing, and a passion for cutting-edge technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Translate, review and proofread Tesla UI strings, Mobile App, and Release Notes content

Develop detailed test plans with cases that represent all localized use cases, edge cases and negative test cases.

Work closely with developers, product management, and design team to ensure the UI features provide a great experience for all regions.

Validate code changes by executing the test plans you created and perform regression testing on bug fixes.

Investigate issues reported by customers in the field, internal test engineers, and your own testing.

Drive and use our products daily and report localization bugs/UX issues.

REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in 2 or more languages, a plus if it includes: Hebrew, Romanian, Greek, Croatian, Turkish, Arabic, Hungarian, Malay, Serbian, Hindi etc.)

0-3+ years of Software Testing/QA Engineer experience.

BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.

Desire to work in a fast paced, demanding and highly collaborative environment.

Familiar with Linux/Unix environments.

Experience with industry standard development and automation tools (Stash, JIRA, Jenkins, Git, etc.)

Excellent communicator and very detail oriented.
