We pride ourselves in providing unique experiences in two different settings, focusing on elevated Brunch dishes with French inspired Turkish pastries. Our bakery team bakes our specialty bagels – SIMIT and all other pastries in our commissary kitchen from scratch. Our hot kitchen team cooks unique brunch dishes like Mücver Benedict, Shakshouka, Çılbır with mostly locally sourced ingredients as well as some authentic Turkish products imported from Turkey. PASAJ is looking to hire Line Cooks. We are a Brunch restaurant / Bakery specializing Turkish /North American fusion cuisine and Turkish Pastries. As a candidate you’ll be responsible for;
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Preparing and plating food by the methods specified in a timely manner
- Maintaining a clean work station throughout service
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow and complete daily prep lists made by chefs
- Basic prep duties such as preparing sauces, chopping vegetables, herbs, portion deli, making batter etc.
- Follow the first in first out (FIFO) method to maximize freshness – label and store food properly
- Manage new shipments of food and organize all orders as they arrive
We expect you to;
- Have at least 2 years experience in a restaurant kitchen
- Have a Food Handler Certificate
- Be Punctual
- Be Reliable
- Be a Team player
- Be able to lift 20lbs
- Be able to work standing up for the entire shift
We’ll be conducting interviews in 2 phases;
1. Zoom interview
2. Staj ( in person trial for hands on kitchen tasks) apx 1 hr
