Line Cook/Prep Cook

PASAJ is looking to hire Line Cooks. We are a Brunch restaurant / Bakery specializing Turkish /North American fusion cusine and Turkish Pastries. As a candidate you’ll be responsible for;

  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Preparing and plating food by the methods specified in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a clean work station throughout service
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow and complete daily prep lists made by chefs
  • Basic prep duties such as preparing sauces, chopping vegetables, herbs, portion deli, making batter etc.
  • Follow the first in first out (FIFO) method to maximize freshness – label and store food properly
  • Manage new shipments of food and organize all orders as they arrive

We expect you to;

  • Have at least 2 years experience in a restaurant kitchen
  • Have a Food Handler Certificate
  • Be Punctual
  • Be Reliable
  • Be a Team player
  • Be able to lift 20lbs
  • Be able to work standing up for the entire shift

We’ll be conducting interviews in 2 phases;

1. Zoom interview

2. Staj ( in person trial for hands on kitchen tasks) apx 1 hr

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
