As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Junior Project Engineer to join our Energy Advisory team in Izmir, Turkey.

What youâll learn & achieve::

  • Be responsible for inspecting, validating and managing wind and solar meteorological stations
  • Perform site visits during the installation and operation of the measurement masts. Compile and review site visit reports and monthly construction monitoring reports
  • Perform technical analysis on meteorological data coming from meteorological masts and RSDs
  • Prepare proposals detailing scope of work, team, budget and schedule for completion
  • Work with internal resources, including other project managers. Ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget
  • With support from senior members, work with lenders and developers as the main client interface for UL. Attend client meetings as needed. Engage clients and internal staff to develop creative solutions to meet client needs; provide exceptional customer service with a focus of growing client relationships
  • Prepare communication plan and related project status reports. Facilitate and lead regular status meetings with internal project team, sponsors, and stakeholders
  • Work with multi-disciplinary team to identify project risks, barriers, and issues and propose possible solutions and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects
  • Perform site visits for wind turbine inspections when requested
  • Other duties as assigned.

What makes you a great fit::

  • More than 3 years of measurement experience in renewable energy or power sector
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a related field
  • Project management skills of meteorological station installations, including masts, RSDs and solar stations
  • Experience on Inspection, verification, and commissioning of measurement systems
  • Experience on data monitoring and analysis in line with the international standards and internal best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work at height (GWO)
  • Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, with senior stakeholder reporting and escalation experience
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
  • Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
  • Understand current and future business goals and ongoing issues to ensure business success
  • Ability to travel up to 40% in Turkey and/or internationally
