What we can offer you! – Your Role:
In this diverse role of high impact within our matrix organization, we are hiring an energized, inclusive, and forward-thinking (Senior) IT Security Specialist – Vulnerability Management & Lifecycle Management to join our global IT team in Czech Republic (remote working) with a direct reporting line to our Senior Manager, Vulnerability Management based in the U.S.
Your Mission:
- As our IT Specialist, you will be our frontline defense, safeguarding our IT environment by identifying, analyzing, and managing internal and external attack surfaces.
- By conducting thorough reviews and assessments of security findings across our on-premise infrastructure and endpoints, ensuring that vulnerabilities are prioritized, assigned, and remediated promptly, in line with our strict security policies, you will play a pivotal role in driving our enterprise life cycle management (e.g. maintaining meticulous records of IT assets, encompassing hardware, software, licenses, and end-of-support dates, et al.).
- Through regular reviews, you will ensure inventory accuracy and policy compliance, while proactively evaluating IT assets to determine end-of-support/end-of-life dates and spearheading necessary upgrades or replacements.
- Your expertise will also be essential in delivering insightful reports and dashboards, providing a clear overview of IT asset status and life cycle stages, and identifying areas for improvement in IT life cycle processes.
- Your role goes beyond the day-to-day operations, since next to independent research and analysis of cybersecurity concepts, vendor technologies, and emerging threats, staying ahead of the curve in this dynamic field, you will also demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and master new cybersecurity platforms and technologies, utilizing provided resources and training.
- Furthermore, you will collaborate effectively with vendors, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and providing expert advice on design and configurations.
Qualifications
What we expect from you! – Your Expertise:
- (Bachelor’s) Degree in Information Systems / Information Security / Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or a similar field; relevant information system security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.) are a plus
- 3+ years of experience in information security, networking, and/or systems administration, including hands-on experience with vulnerability and configuration management technologies in an enterprise setting
- Passionate about information security, with a solid grasp of Linux, Windows, and Mac system internals, configuration management tools, on-premise vulnerability management, patching, and configuration management tools and a keen interest in the latest threats and trends
- Excellent influencing and communication skills
- Creative, innovative, and driven by an entrepreneurial spirit to grow a sustainable business and your career at Avery Dennison
