RI established operations in Türkiye in 2013. RI is headquartered in Gaziantep and has a presence in Hatay, Kilis. Key sectors of focus in Türkiye include Health, Protection, and Livelihoods.
3- Job Profile
The Senior Grants and Reporting Officer will support the team with RI’s grants management and donor liaison, and collaborate on program development with the Regional Program Development Manager and the Country Director. The post holder will maximize funding and technical support from institutional donors in country, and will support with country grants, managing key donor relationships, writing proposals, concept notes and reports in collaboration with the field team, develop planning and reporting tools and ensure that projects are running according to donor contractual requirements.

- Support programme design processes, including donor mapping, call analysis, proposal development, and budget review, and contribute to negotiating grants under the programme.
- Oversee the successful implementation of grants throughout the full grant lifecycle, from award signature to close-out, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of all grant milestones.
- Ensure programmatic, financial, and administrative compliance with donor regulations (including ECHO and other institutional donors), RI policies, and contractual obligations.
- Lead the preparation, consolidation, and submission of high-quality donor reports (narrative and financial), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Maintain and regularly update grant tracking tools, including reporting calendars, compliance checklists, amendment logs, and implementation progress trackers.
- Coordinate closely with country-level and HQ finance, operations, and programme teams to ensure alignment between activities, expenditures, and donor requirements.
- Act as the primary focal point for donor communication related to grants implementation, reporting, amendments, and clarifications, in coordination with management and HQ.
- Support budget monitoring and burn-rate analysis, flagging risks, under- or over-spending, and compliance concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper grant documentation, filing, and archiving, in line with audit and donor requirements.
- Contribute to grant risk management, identifying potential compliance or implementation risks and proposing mitigation measures.
- Support partner grants management, including capacity strengthening, compliance guidance, and review of partner reports where applicable.
- Participate in internal and external audits, donor reviews, and evaluations by preparing documentation and coordinating responses.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity building to programme and support staff on donor rules, reporting standards, and grants management processes.
- Maintain effective communication with RI HQ and senior management on grants performance, risks, and strategic funding opportunities.
- Contribute to lessons learned, best practices, and continuous improvement of grants and reporting systems.
- Perform any other duties related to grants management and reporting as required by the line manager.

- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of donor requirements of safeguarding standards and protection from exploitation and abuse.

Skills, knowledge and expertise required for the role.
Essential criteria
- Degree in a relevant field or such as international development, disaster management, social science, finance, business administration, or related field;
- Experience in administering of grants in an international development program;
- Knowledge of USAID Rules and Regulations;
- Knowledge of grants administration, contracting, and procurement regulations;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in written and spoken Turkish essential
Desirable criteria
- Experience working in post-conflict environment a plus;
- Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
