Responsibilities
Our Trust & Safety (T&S) team’s commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. Our Regional Risk Response team identifies risks in our regional communities, qualifies any detected signals and collaborates cross-functionally to address and prevent potential emerging risks. We are looking for a Program Management Lead to oversee our Israel & Turkey Regional Risk Prevention team. In this role, you will lead Market Program Managers who bring deep regional insights and cultural expertise, while collaborating with global teams to preemptively identify risks and strengthen our safety features. What will I be doing? Lead and Collaborate: – Provide leadership and people management support to the Market Program Management team, fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture. – Act as the key bridge between regional markets and cross-functional teams such as Content Policy, Public Policy, Government Relations, Product Management, Data Science, Operations, Engineering, Algorithms, and Marketing to identify, assess, and resolve issues. – Manage regular cross-functional engagement and ensure visibility of market updates, including roadmapping and status reporting. Strategy and Execution: – Drive the design and execution of clear, cross-T&S market roadmaps to identify potential risks or harms and coordinate with relevant teams to mitigate them. – Routinely analyze market health and operational data to uncover trends, emerging risks, and root causes, and collaborate on effective containment and preventative strategies. – Proactively plan for high-risk scenarios, lead rapid response during crises, and coordinate with stakeholders across functions during prolonged or high-impact events such as elections or regulatory milestones. – Oversee team performance management and goal-setting, ensuring clear accountability and measurable impact. Innovation and Improvement: – Identify high-impact opportunities through RCAs, feedback loops, and insights from society pillar teams to improve product, policy, processes, and tooling. – Use both qualitative and quantitative methods to assess vulnerabilities across content areas (videos, comments, engagement metrics) and lead continuous improvement initiatives. – Refine processes that differentiate between controllable and non-controllable risk factors to strengthen operational resilience. Regulatory and Compliance: – Develop and program manage the implementation of market-specific regulatory compliance measures aligned with global frameworks. – Support the region’s Trust & Safety efforts in meeting evolving regulatory expectations and maintaining transparent communication with government stakeholders. Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s) – 5 years leading complex, cross-functional programs, especially with Government Relations, Public Policy, Comms, and Legal and 2+ years of people management / mentoring / coaching experience. – Deep Regional Expertise & Language Fluency: In-depth knowledge of the socio-economic landscape, cultural nuances, and regulatory environment in Israel and Turkey along with high written and oral proficiency in English and Hebrew or Turkish languages as the role covers these markets. – Demonstrated Leadership Potential: Experience guiding or mentoring others, taking ownership of key projects, or driving outcomes that show readiness to lead. Comfortable setting goals, supporting collaboration, and helping resolve challenges within a team environment. – Data-Driven Decision Making: A strong analytical mindset with a track record of using data and metrics to guide strategic initiatives. – Project and Process Management: Demonstrated experience coordinating large-scale projects across diverse teams, ensuring smooth execution of product or process plans. – Wide-Ranging Issue Expertise: Familiarity with various safety domains such as minor safety, hate speech, violent extremism, graphic content, bullying, or regulated goods as well as experience managing high-risk events and incident management, including election integrity. – Agility and Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where ambiguity is common and innovation is key.
