Regional Development Technical Manager (m/ f/ d)

As a Regional Technical Development Manager, you will lead field development programs for herbicide products across the EMEA region. This role combines your deep agronomic expertise with data-driven insights and a passion for enhancing technical processes.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Regulatory, Marketing, and R&D—to ensure FMC’s herbicide portfolio delivers strong value and meets the evolving needs of the market.

What you will do with us:

  • Lead the design and coordination of regional herbicide field trials: develop biological plans, define objectives, analyse data, and deliver clear, actionable reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement in trial execution, data collection, and analysis through the adoption of digital tools and streamlined workflows.
  • Provide technical expertise and data-driven recommendations to support portfolio strategy and product positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare submission-ready datasets and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and deliver technical training to sub-regional teams, promoting consistency and building agronomic expertise.
  • Support the development of innovative application technologies to enhance product performance and promote sustainable practices.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities and maintain FMC’s competitive edge.

Your qualification & attributes

  • Master’s degree or higher in Agronomy, Weed Science, Crop Protection, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in herbicide development, weed management, or field R&D.
  • Proficient in data analysis using ARM, R, Python, and MS Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of EU BAD generation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Skilled in technical process improvement, digital trial tools, and application technologies.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration; fluent in English with travel flexibility across Europe.
