Location: Gaziantep

Project: Technical Assistance for FARMERS: Facilitating Agricultural Recovery & Mitigating Earthquakes’ Repercussions for Sustainability Project, GIZ International Services

 

A. Main Activities

    • Provide overall assistance in implementation of project activities in 5 project provinces (mainly Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Hatay and Malatya) to Project Managers and the Team Leader.
    • Assist with administrative tasks as required, including the preparation of reports, liaising with authorized personnel, and supporting them during field missions.
    • Maintain regular contact with local authorities implementing partner and target groups as requested by the Project Managers.
    • Support implementing partners and the experts during site visits, meetings, and project activities.
    • Assist with logistics for field missions, trainings, workshops, and meetings.
    • Act as a communication link between implementing partners and the project office, when required.
    • Keeping track of the inventory of the project goods.
    • Coordinate the parcels to be sent to the GIZ office in Ankara and other project counterparts and keep the track of the delivery.
    • Assist in organization of printing and shipment of event materials and deliverables.
    • Assist in procurement processes (market search, collecting offers etc.)
    • Coordinate with service providers for organization of activities and procurements.
    • Attend project activities and follow up documentation of project activities including archiving attendance lists, photographs, and other relevant proof documents, and reporting the activities.
    • Carry out outreach activities with the target group, including providing information on activity details through communication channels.
    • ⁠Coordinate office-related matters with the Ankara office, office equipment and set-up and IT.
    • Perform any other task as required by the Project Managers and the Team Leader.

 

Where appropriate and reasonable, the position holder is willing to perform tasks outside the scope of the job description.

 

B. Required qualifications, competencies and experience

 

Education/Qualifications

  • University degree (at least bachelor’s degree) in any field is required.

 

Professional experience

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a comparable position is required.
  • Professional experience with international (EU, US, etc.) and public projects will be an asset.

 

Other knowledge, additional competencies

  • Native in Turkish and business fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of Arabic will be considered as an asset.
  • Good working knowledge of ICT technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office) is required.
  • Good management, time management, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work proactively and independently
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
