Human Resources Director Turkey (M/F/X)

In a context of strong business growth (organic + stores opening) in Turkey, you will lead the HR strategy for both HQ & Retail and oversee the operational Human Resources management, in alignment with Global Sephora HR strategy.

Reporting to the General Manager and functionally to the Human Resources Director One Europe, you are part of the Turkish Management Committee.

This role is based in Istanbul.

Your scope

  • 43 stores
  • 700 + people
  • 20 + people in the HR team

Your team gathers multiple teams – including some HR centers of expertise

  • HRBP HQ
  • HRBP Retail
  • Compensation and benefits, reporting and payroll
  • Retail education, including Sephora University

  • You will be responsible for creating a vibrant & engaging employee journey for our Talents.
  • You will ensure HR policies & practices comply with relevant laws, regulations & cultural norms, and promote DE&I across our HQ and stores.
  • You will oversee recruitment efforts to attract top talents and develop retention strategies that consider employee satisfaction, career progression opportunities and personal growth.
  • Your team will be in charge the roll-out of global LVMH and Sephora HR processes regarding compensation review, talent development, employee listening, performance evaluation, etc…
  • You will nurture constructive relationships both with the Europe and the global HR teams and be the point of contact for Turkey in the deployment of international projects.
  • You will actively work to foster employee growth and development.
  • You will contribute to build constructive succession plans.

Extensive experience (15+ years) in HR leadership positions, preferably in a multinational context

  • Global understanding of all HR expertise
  • Strong business acumen

  • Team player – Encouraging synergies and best practice sharing, partnering with multiple internal stakeholders at different levels in the organization
  • DE&I advocate – Highest ethical standards and ability to model inclusive leadership and allyship
  • Fluent in Turkish and English, Turkish experience a must, international experience a plus.
