A Day in the Life
About the Role:
As a Pan-Medtronic Marketing Director Türkiye, Iran, Central Asia (TICA) & Pakistan, you will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies and owning execution of marketing activities, including market development projects, product planning and launch activities in the designated region. You will manage the product and service lifecycle, bringing specific products, product lines or services to marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Yearly Marketing Strategy
- Assessing market potential per therapy/Portfolio per region/country
- Competitive mapping and market / portfolio SWOT analysis
- Translate the CEMA strategy to specific subregion/ countries /clusters and set the specific sub-region marketing strategy for each therapy/Portfolio
- Close collaboration with SMO on the Portfolio Segmentation workshops
- Collaboration with the regional commercial teams, SME US and Training Academy on the yearly marketing plans
- Drive the yearly marketing activities plans along with the budget and closely align with the regional commercial teams and training academy on the plans
2) Annual AOP / Strat Plan / RF Planning
- Collaboration with the subregional commercial teams, enablers and finance on the AOP / Strat Plan / RF submission
- Collaboration with the subregional commercial teams and training academy on building the marketing budget proposal and activities breakdown
- Providing input about NPL, marketing campaigns, programs and strategic initiatives that can fuel growth
- Building the marketing budget AOP / Strat Plan / RF in collaboration with the commercial teams
3) Regional Marketing budget
- Executing the planned marketing activities and projects / plans in alignment with the portfolio segmentation outcomes & proposed strategies
- Tracking of the marketing budget on a quarterly based cycle
- Ensure close alignment with the Training Academy on all planned activities and budgets prior to execution
4) Upstream & Downstream strategic partnership
- Initiate and present country specific strategic projects to the SME US
- Be part of the monthly SME US OU calls to discuss portfolio updates, best practices and strategic initiatives
5) New Products Launches
- Responsible for the NPL plan development & execution
- Work with the local RA teams for all registration requirements (eg. Local IFU translations, portfolio/ product positioning, etc)
- Collaboration with SME US on NPL pricing
- Translate and localize marketing materials for the launch (where needed)
- Launch tracker creation & measuring the adoption rates
- Ensure proper forecast for all NPLs to secure the products in country prior to the launch
6) Pricing
- Work with the regions commercial team/enablers to align on pricing business cases
- Align with the OU commercial leads for pricing exceptions
7) IBP & allocation
- Work with the commercial teams to ensure the proper monthly update of the YoY file demand forecast file
- Work with the commercial teams to capture on a monthly basis the Risks & Opportunities
- Consolidate the sub-regional urgent allocation requests from commercial teams with identified priorities and communicate to upstream
- Communicate to countries the allocated units by SME US
8) Communication
- Regular communication between SME DS & OU Commercial teams – frequency and cadence to be determined based on the sub-region’s dynamics
9) Marketing Messaging (B2B / B2C)
- Tailor & Localize the CEMA marketing messages and ensuring that the sales teams are trained on them and the messages are cascaded to the countries/accounts
- Responsible to build the regional traditional / digital campaigns plans in collaboration with the Customer Experience team and lead management process
10) Marketing Materials
- Localization and adaptation of the portfolios marketing materials and patients educational materials (where applicable)
11) Marketing activities addressing the needs of the territory scope, such as but not limited to:
- Responsible for the local & regional congresses (artworks, booth, demos, promo materials) as well customer engagement plans, symposia and speakers, training villages, etc… planning, agenda, topics and execution
- Regional proctorships roadshows, round table meetings planning, agenda, topics and execution
- Regional summits, regional advisory board planning, agenda, topics and execution
- Clusters summit planning, agenda, topics and execution
- International congresses regional donations & arrangements
- Regional Customers meetings (face to face or digital / zoom / webinars…) planning, agenda, topics and execution
12) KOL & Customers engagement
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with key physicians, rising stars, key accounts and the respective health care professionals.
- Regular and frequent field visits to be updated on the market dynamics & trends
13) Drive marketing KPIs
- Track portfolio KPIs: therapy penetration rates, accounts performance, pricing strategy & ASP trends
- Market share analysis and developing plans to ensure MS protection & gain
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree and 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience managing a team of direct reports, as well as management experience in a highly matrixed organization.
- Successful development and delivery of high impact strategic initiatives.
- Highly motivated to advance organizational expertise in marketing & market development; process, methods, tools and best practices
- Critical thinking skills and synthesis skills – can create structure, form, systems
- Cross functional influence, ability to lead with and without authority, possess the knowledge, skills, ability and credibility to system engineer a large and critical project with multiple stakeholders and matrixed participants
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, negotiating; managing change; goal setting; planning and organizing teamwork; ability to address difficult situations; able to understand and communicate technical information.
- Fluent in English.
