Job Descriptions
- Fabric purchase, analysis, fabric costing, weaving and yarn costing
- Plan the total bulk production with the vendors as per the order quantity and quality norms
- Responsible for streamlining the production of fabric with the suppliers
- Trend forecasting and seasonal fabric collection and presentation
- Liaise with internal designers, merchandisers, overseas clients and suppliers
- Provide fabric technical support and sourcing
- Follow the development of new fabrics as they are sourced
- Generate fabric cards once fabrics are spaced and maintain all pertinent information throughout the approval status of both sample and stock
- Collect and document stock pricing/lead-time/minimum and surcharge information for each fabric card
- Negotiate prices and timing with suppliers for samples and stock
- Send color standards to vendors and track lab dip submits for custom color fabrics and follow with design counterpart for approval comments
Requirements
- Degree or above in Textile or related disciplines
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience
- Strong product and material knowledge with good development skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties
- Strong problem-solving skills
