Autoliv Cankor, a global leader in automotive safety systems, is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Gebze facility. Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities in alignment with production and project requirements.
- Carry out both routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and plant infrastructure to increase operational uptime and efficiency.
- Lead and participate in reliability improvement projects and initiatives focused on cost reduction and process excellence.
- Accurately complete maintenance records, technical documentation, and reports for submission to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new equipment introductions and process changes to improve manufacturing processes.
- Monitor lean manufacturing, 5S, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and health & safety protocols.
- Contribute to standardising maintenance operations, including spare parts management and process documentation.
- Engage in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities (e.g., 8D, PFMEA, RCA) to optimise equipment reliability.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) in maintenance engineering, reliability, or facilities management in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Technical understanding of machinery and automation system repair methods.
- Experience conducting preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as root cause/failure mode analysis.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a structured and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- Participation in, or certification for, TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
