Partner with the best
As a Logistics Specialist, you’ll the manage transportation and logistics of goods to and from our customers. Collaborating with internal teams (e.g Inventory and Finance) you will facilitate efficient service delivery for customers. You will ensure your duties are carried out in compliance with Baker Hughes and Health & Safety practices.
As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring company operations are in accordance with state legislation, statutory provisions and company policies
- Arranging and managing all logistics activities and related systems information
- Coordinating customs clearance for import/export shipments in
- Coordinating import and export transportation
- Coordinating deliveries in line with production demands, overseeing internal logistics challenges
- Ensuring that materials are available for production and shipments are ready for dispatch when required.
- Reviewing and optimizing costs to ensure products and projects are delivered to budget and operating margin
- Contacting vendors, customers, carriers, etc. to coordinate transportation and resolve any problems and issues
- Executes all shipping documentation required for goods transportation
- Providing weekly and monthly reports for imports, exports, domestic transportation, cost saving, job volumes, shipments tracking etc.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Have 5 years of experience in custom process and logistics operations
- Have oil and gas experience is a must
- Have an MBA is preferred
- Be keen to work collaboratively in a team and be a good team player
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and be highly adaptable
- Have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Be able to work independently.
- Have Strong problem-solving skills.
