We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to lead and guide our growing data team. This is a strategic role where you will design scalable data infrastructure, drive technical excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape our data strategy and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
- Architect and implement robust data solutions to meet business needs and ensure high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to define and execute the data strategy.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met across all data operations.
- Guide and mentor data engineers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, resolving complex technical challenges.
- Stay updated on new technologies and recommend improvements to our data infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role.
- Strong expertise in Python and SQL for building data pipelines and performing data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Snowflake).
- Deep knowledge of cloud services such as AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue) and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
- Experience in architecting data solutions and optimizing large-scale data workflows.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security best practices, and version control systems (Git).
- Proven leadership skills, including guiding and mentoring technical teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
