Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing your work area
- Includes the use of chemical cleaners, sanitizers and acids to maintain compliance with the Jennie-O Turkey Store and USDA regulations
- Any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work in a food plant (which may be cold, damp, hot or humid)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of all jobs and chemicals used within the department
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Simple math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required
- PHYSICAL: Able to climb stairs, and/or work on elevated stands or platforms
- Able to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with foaming equipment operation and maintenance
- Specific training and experience in the use of caustics, sanitizers and acids

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The hiring pay range for this role is $22.08, 6 months $22.08, 1 year $22.08per hour.
