Duration of Assignment: 6 months, full-time internship

Location: Ankara

Project: Turkish German Integrated Climate and Biodiversity Action (CABA) – Policy Interface Project

 

A. Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The intern will support the GIZ Climate and Biodiversity Action (CABA) Türkiye team in day-to-day administrative and logistical activities. The focus will be on assisting with internal administrative workflows, operational tasks, and project documentation, when necessary, as well as carrying out any other duties assigned by the team.

 

Main Activities

  • Administrative Support: Assist with internal documentation processes, filing, archiving, and preparation of small-scale payment forms, and invoices.
  • Logistics and Arrangements: Support the team in organizing meetings, workshops, and travel arrangements, including preparing transport schedules and booking accommodations.
  • Procurement Support: Assist with collecting offers, preparing purchase requests in accordance with the team.
  • Office Support: Help maintain order in the office (e.g., meeting rooms, stationery, event materials) and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Team Support: Provide general support to the team as needed, scheduling appointments, and ensuring internal documents meet GIZ standards.

 

B. Required qualifications, competencies and experience

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants should have full-time availability throughout the internship period.

 

Educational Background

  • Currently enrolled in or recently (no more than 6 months ago) graduated from a relevant field such as Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, International Relations, Political Science, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.

 

Other skills, knowledge, and competences

  • Native in Turkish and professional fluency in English is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Interest and knowledge with climate policy
