The HR Manager – Turkey will lead the Human Resources function for Calderys in Turkey, partnering closely with local management teams and the HR Director – EMEA (Operations) to deliver the regional people strategy.

This role is responsible for providing comprehensive HR leadership across all areas of HR — including talent acquisition, employee relations, learning and development, organizational change, and compliance — ensuring alignment with global HR policies and the specific needs of the Turkish business.

HR Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Country Manager, Plant Manager(s), and leadership team on all people-related matters.
  • Partner with the HR Director – EMEA (Operations) to execute the regional HR strategy in line with operational and business goals.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen engagement, capability, and performance within the local organization.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Lead all aspects of employee relations, ensuring compliance with Turkish labor law and company policies.
  • Manage interactions with unions and employee representatives, ensuring constructive and transparent relationships.
  • Provide expert guidance on disciplinary matters, grievance handling, and performance management.

Talent & Capability Development

  • Partner with line leaders to identify capability gaps and develop targeted training and development plans.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning for key operational and technical roles.
  • Promote internal mobility and talent development within the Turkish organization.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead local recruitment activities in collaboration with the Regional Talent Acquisition Manager to ensure efficient and high-quality hiring.
  • Manage onboarding and induction programs that support employee engagement and retention.

Development & Change

  • Support local implementation of organizational changes, restructuring, or transformation initiatives.
  • Drive a culture of safety, inclusion, and accountability throughout all HR practices.
  • Champion Calderys’ values and culture, ensuring consistent communication and employee engagement.

HR Operations & Reporting

  • Oversee HR administration, payroll coordination, and benefits management in partnership with finance and external providers.
  • Maintain accurate HR data in Oracle and support reporting and analytics for the region.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and corporate governance standards.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or HR Business Partner role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Turkish labor law and experience in employee/industrial relations.
  • Proven track record in driving HR processes, change initiatives, and workforce development.
  • Experience working within a matrix, international organization preferred.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation capabilities.
  • High level of integrity, resilience, and adaptability.
  • Fluent in Turkish and English (both written and spoken).
