Job Summary

As an active member of the Turkey Country Leadership Team, the role holder will be the interface between business and HR and is responsible for formulating and delivering the relevant HR/People agenda for the Turkey office, aligning to both the Group HR and Turkey strategic agendas where required. As HR Subject matter expert for Turkey the role holder will, in partnership with functional HRBPs for Europe and HR Service Delivery & Specialists, be the interface between Turkey specific HR matters and the wider business & HR Function, creating an effective, efficient organisation where maximising performance and engagement is at the heart of every interaction. Partnering with relevant business heads, senior managers, functional partners and stakeholders, the role holder will drive and enable sustainable business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate as an active member of the Turkey Country Leadership Team to drive focus and delivery against the Turkey HR strategy
  • Drive active career development initiatives for each Turkey Country Leadership Team member, with a focus on developing effective leadership
  • Act as a coach to individual Turkey Leadership Team members to embed career development activities to support the creation of a highly effective leadership capability
  • Partner with the relevant stakeholders to drive and enable sustainable business performance.
  • Develop an efficient, effective organisation, where maximising performance and engagement is central to all interactions to mitigate people-related risks and enhance capability.
  • Manage people processes (performance, reward, resourcing and talent) to ensure levels of capabilities and performance satisfy current and future requirements of the business.
  • Develop the HR strategy and people priorities that enable sustainable performance and growth
  • Continuously review the relevant operating models to align these with the overall business strategy, using all available data to assess effectiveness, demonstrating proactively in surfacing and securing resolution to points of misalignment.
  • Support, engage with and coach relevant stakeholders in configuring and deploying people policies, processes and products processes to drive business performance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with functional HRBPs and relevant HR stakeholders on all people related matters

Qualifications

  • Ability to contact and form a dialogue/communicate at a reasonably senior level with the respective ministry (i.e Labour/social security) and other relevant regulatory bodies in the country such as;
    • BRSA (Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Agency)
    • TBA (Turkish Banks Association)
    • SSI (Social security Institution) etc.
  • Own and manage inquiries and ad hoc field audit from these bodies
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • University degree
  • Relevant HR experience in a similar position in banking industry
  • Able to lead change management with good communication and multicultural skills
  • Strong analytical skills
