Fashion & WFJ Director Türkiye (f/m/d)

In the context of our ongoing efforts to optimize our efficiency, while maximizing client proximity, we will create a new Fashion & WFJ organization for Türkiye. As Fashion & Watch and Fine Jewelry Director you will be leading the Turkish team in charge of the Fashion & WFJ business with 3 Chanel Fashion and 1 Chanel Shoe Boutique in İstanbul as well as 1 Chanel Fashion seasonal boutique in Bodrum and WFJ Wholesale business to ensure continued development in line with the European Region strategy for both divisions.

You will directly report to the Managing Director Türkiye with a dotted line to the Head of Fashion Europe and Head of WFJ Europe. You will also partner closely with the Europe Fashion & WFJ teams to boost local Fashion and WFJ business in line with market needs and overall vision and strategy.

You will be responsible for implementing the new Fashion & WFJ organization for your scope of responsibility, which includes Retail Management, Business Merchandising & Operations, Client Marketing, Learning and Style Expertise and Visual Merchandising.

Key for this leadership role is strategic thinking by also giving priority to people development as well as being a role model for Chanel’s leadership attributes.

Budget and Strategy

• Elaborate and implement the local Fashion and WFJ business strategy in line with the European strategy.
• Define the MTP (Mid-Term Plan), budget and yearly sales plans for each boutique in your scope in collaboration with the Managing Director Türkiye and Finance.
• Monitor competitors and market trends in Türkiye to generate insights for the business.
• Contribute to the P&L definition and monitoring, optimize the costs and ensure the right resource allocation.

Leadership

• Guide and support your office and boutique teams to deliver the defined business plan and objectives.
• Expose the Retail and Boutique Management Teams to Fashion & WFJ strategy, enriching their understanding and the meaning of the execution at Boutique level.
• Lead Performance Management.
• Partner with the Finance Department to ensure all operational sales procedures.
• Represent Türkiye in the Fashion Europe Leadership Team and contribute to cross-functional collaboration.

Buying

• Oversee the buying strategy, including the OTB (Open to buy), supporting the buying process and advising Boutique Managers in their decisions.

Brand & Image

• Act as ambassador for Fashion and WFJ in your scope of responsibility.
• Enhance harmonious relationships with landlords, PR, Media, and local public authorities.
• Contribute to the clienteling strategy, especially for Elite clientele, and participate in VIC-related events.

What you will bring ;

• In-depth experience in boutique management in the fashion and luxury industry combined with a client centric mindset.
• Over 10 years of experience as a Team Leader: People enabler, engager, and developer with a modern “mindful” leadership style, attentive of human behaviors to be the ambassador of our “Best place to work” objective. Strong resilience and professional maturity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills along with a strong business acumen, strategic thinking and analytical approach.
• Motivation to embrace challenges and lead transformation. Leadership with ownership and self-awareness, with a collective definition of success.
• Fluent English skills (written and spoken), Turkish is a plus.

Position based in Istanbul. Frequent traveling required.
