Job Description

  • Manage all database instances including installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Perform database maintenance and tuning activities to ensure high availability and performance
  • Manage database capacity planning and scalability processes
  • Design, operate, and maintain PostgreSQL and MSSQL high availability clusters (e.g. Patroni, streaming replication, SQL Server Always On)
  • Automate manual database operations within defined timeframes
  • Implement best practices to continuously improve service quality
  • Manage database backup, restore, and recovery operations
  • Provide high-quality database support for development teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and administering NoSQL and RDBMS databases (PostgreSQL required; MSSQL knowledge is a strong plus)
  • Experience in Payment Systems or Fintech environments
  • Solid understanding of database administration, architecture, and infrastructure
  • In-depth understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze database and OS-level metrics
  • Experience in query optimization and performance tuning
  • Experience in automating DBA tasks (Ansible, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL high availability solutions (Patroni experience is a plus)
