Commercial EHS Manager

The Opportunity

This position works at Istanbul location in the Global Engineering Services Division and will be reporting to EHS Regional Commercial & Technical Services Manager.

What You’ll Do

Primary Role and Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) program for commercial sales and service operations across Türkiye.
Oversee core EHS program areas including:
- Fleet Safety
- Incident Investigation
- Biosafety & Bloodborne Pathogens
- Ergonomics
- Emergency Preparedness
- Radiation Safety
- Occupational Health
- Environmental Management
Ensure full compliance with all corporate, divisional, and local regulatory requirements related to EHS.
Manage the fleet safety program by:
- Coordinating vehicle crash investigations
- Identifying at-risk drivers and implementing corrective action plans
- Supporting fleet safety training and awareness initiatives
Lead environmental initiatives, including emission reduction strategies for commercial offices and fleet operations.
Design and deliver EHS training programs and communication campaigns; ensure training completion and effectiveness.
Serve as the primary liaison with corporate, divisional, and external stakeholders (including regulatory agencies and community organizations) on EHS matters.
Identify and assess EHS risks in relation to business objectives; recommend and implement mitigation strategies.
Monitor evolving regulatory trends and evaluate their potential impact on operations.
Conduct and manage EHS risk assessments, regulatory reviews, and purchasing evaluations.
Oversee the management of work-related incidents, injuries, and illnesses; ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed.
Support the business in preparing for and responding to global EHS audits of commercial operations.
Conduct pre-audit reviews to ensure alignment with EHS management and technical standards.
Coordinate and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
Collaborate with the Occupational Health Physician to support health and safety initiatives.
Represent the company in interactions with regulatory authorities, including permit applications, reporting, and compliance negotiations.
Execute global and regional EHS initiatives at the local level.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Science, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in EHS roles.
Strong technical background with experience in Risk Assessments, Ergonomics, Environmental projects and Occupational Exposure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills.
Proficient in organizing and managing multiple priorities with a customer-focused approach.
Fluent in Turkish; proficiency in English is highly desirable.
