Franklin Electric, one of the leading manufacturers of international water and fueling systems, is looking for an “Category Leader”. The position will be based in Torbalı Izmir site.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic sourcing and procurement planning for the assigned category.
- Manage and develop supplier relationships; evaluate supplier performance.
- Oversee procurement contracts and contract management processes.
- Monitor global commodity markets and perform cost analyses.
- Drive improvements in cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams.
- Regularly track and report pricing, lead times, and payment terms.
- Follow changes in raw material and other cost drivers.
- Achieve personal targets aligned with category objectives.
- Prepare, manage, and archive supplier contracts.
- Monitor economic and geopolitical developments to shape category strategy.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in purchasing, logistics, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and disciplined work approach
- Experienced in commodity purchasing and supply chain management
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills; strong team player
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in English
