ProsperaImpact is a boutique, senior-led advisory firm specialising in development finance, inclusive finance and sustainable finance solutions. We work with development finance institutions, donors, financial institutions, public agencies and ecosystem stakeholders to design and implement practical, high-impact programmes that expand access to finance, support inclusive growth and accelerate sustainable transition.

Our work spans areas such as gender and youth finance, SME finance, green and climate finance, agricultural and rural finance, microfinance, blended finance, guarantee mechanisms, market assessments, institutional diagnostics, programme design, monitoring and impact assessment. With a strong field orientation and hands-on implementation approach, we support clients across Türkiye, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Eastern Europe, the Balkans and MENA.

ProsperaImpact is expanding its team and is looking for a Business Development Specialist to support our growth in donor- and DFI-funded advisory opportunities.

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will support ProsperaImpact’s business development activities with a particular focus on identifying, tracking and coordinating tenders and consultancy opportunities funded by development finance institutions, international donors and multilateral organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor tender portals, donor platforms and procurement notices for relevant opportunities from DFIs, IFIs and donors, including institutions such as EBRD, World Bank, IFC, AFD, KfW, EIB, EU, UN agencies and other similar organisations.
• Screen and assess new opportunities in line with ProsperaImpact’s strategic focus areas, geographic priorities, eligibility criteria and internal capacity.
• Maintain and regularly update the business development pipeline, including deadlines, eligibility requirements, submission formats, partner status, expert needs and next steps.
• Lead the preparation of expressions of interest, technical proposals, administrative documents, company profiles, project references, expert CVs and compliance matrices.
• Identify and liaise with potential partners, consortium members, local firms, technical experts and consultants for specific opportunities.
• Maintain and update ProsperaImpact’s expert roster, project reference database, corporate credentials, standard texts and proposal templates.
• Support the preparation of CVs, project references and corporate experience descriptions to specific tender requirements.
• Support relationship-building with donors, DFIs, partner firms, consultants and ecosystem stakeholders.
• Ensure that all business development materials are accurate, well-organised, visually consistent and aligned with ProsperaImpact’s quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in business development, proposal coordination, international consulting, donor-funded projects, development finance, international development or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in donor- and/or DFI-funded tender processes, preferably with institutions such as EBRD, World Bank, IFC, AFD, KfW, EIB, EU, UN agencies or similar organisations.
• Strong understanding of consultancy procurement processes, including expressions of interest, technical proposals, financial proposals, expert CVs, project references and administrative compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines, documents, contributors and workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong written and spoken English, including the ability to draft, edit and quality-check proposal materials and professional correspondence.
• High attention to detail, especially in reviewing tender requirements, eligibility criteria, submission instructions and compliance documents.
• Ability to work independently in a flexible consulting environment while coordinating closely with senior experts, consultants and partners.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
• University degree in international relations, economics, business administration, development studies, finance, public policy, political science, social sciences or a related field.
