Accounting Professional

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Professional to take full ownership of our local financial operations in Germany. You will work closely with our Headquarters Accounting Team to ensure the integrity of our financial data and the seamless execution of the end-to-end accounting cycle. This role is central to our expansion, requiring a proactive individual who can manage statutory compliance, lead integration projects, and act as a bridge between local requirements and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for local German GAAP accounting entries in coordination with the Headquarters Accounting Team.
• Lead and participate in integration and improvement projects alongside International Accounting, Projects, and SAP teams.
• Coordinate the financial statement closing process to ensure smooth delivery of statutory reporting.
• Perform detailed reviews of financial statements, schedules, and workings to maintain high data quality.
• Manage statutory compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and filings in Germany.
• Cooperate with the Tax team on local tax matters and Transfer Pricing subjects.
• Conduct periodic reconciliations to verify the accuracy of all financial transactions.
• Handle ad-hoc financial requests and support local audit requirements as needed.

Expected Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Extensive professional experience in accounting, ideally with audit experience in an e-commerce environment.
• Sound knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
