IP Domain Architect

General Purpose

The mission of the Network Infrastructure (NI) Business Group is to be the most trusted partner for the world’s most critical network infrastructure. NI will respond to the ever-increasing demand for networks with higher capacity, greater reliability, faster speeds, and lower costs.

• Gather customer requirements. Translate these requirements to optimum solutions. Deliver High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documents.
• Understand, capture and challenge inputs from market analysis, key customer’s decision makers, technical and operations staff, and translate them into effective requirements and solutions.
• Obtain details of the customer’s current environment and the Present Mode of Operation.
• Develop Migration Strategy, Migration Design, Method of Procedures documents for migration projects involved.
• Develop and apply testing procedures and test documents, perform solution validation, migration validation, software release validation, device feature validation, interoperability tests.
• Perform network audits and analyses using available tools and methodologies, applying best practices and strong technology knowledge.
• Develop audit reports as project deliverables, identifying strengths and vulnerabilities in customer network implementation and offering recommendations for improvement areas.
• Define and/or help develop Professional Services scope such as Network Design Service, Network Audit Service, Network Migration/Swap Service
• Travel on-site for customer meetings, workshops, advanced trainings, testing and related project transactions as required.
• Support pre-sales activities with relevant expertise as required by the account teams.
• Work with Product Line Management and pre-sales team for the feature enhancement requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Telecom/Data/Computer Networking Engineering or equivalent at least 5 years of experience in designing or/and implementing IP/MPLS networks.
• Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) in English and Turkish
• Experience delivering professional services including network strategy, design and engineering, implementation, testing, customer training and on-site support.
• Deep knowledge of Linux Systems, Cloud Management Software, Openstack, Python scripting and Ansible is an asset
• Hands-on experience on at least one of the Server Virtualization Technologies such as KVM, Xen, Vmware, Hyper-V
• Deep network knowledge (especially IGP, BGP protocols & protocol characteristics & protocol parameters)
• Network Engineering expertise at a Multi-vendor integration experience.
• Good business understanding in vendor or/and operator/service provider environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving skills and working experiences on test equipment.
• Clearly communicate (verbal and written) in English and Russian.
• Self-motivated and self-development/learning.
• Comfortable to meet and discuss solutions/technology and technical escalation (network outage and resolution) with senior management in both Nokia and customers
• Able to work independently and also in a team.
• Able to travel overseas for Project work in short notice.
• Able to manage activities under high pressure and critical deadlines.
• Able to handle several important tasks at the same time.
• Able to deal with a complex organization structure within Nokia.
• Able to look at different factors and prioritize tasks.
• Able to influence to get the right outcomes.
• Able to develop and maintain strong relationships in Nokia and with Customers.

Qualifications – IP Domain Architect

• Strong working level knowledge of IP Networking. Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), signaling protocols (RSVP, LDP), Segment Routing, QoS, IP VPN, VPLS, eVPN, BRAS, NAT,DPI etc.
• IP Certification and Multi-vendor IOT experiences are advantage.
• NOKIA NRS1, NRS2, MRP, 3RP, and SRA certifications is advantage.
• NOKIA 7950, 7750, 7705 and 7210 products knowledge is preferred.

Desired Experience/Certifications:

• Nokia 7750 SR product, Openstack and/or Cloudstack knowledge
• IP Certification (NRS2, SRA, CCNP, CCIE etc.) and Multi-vendor Interoperability experiences
• Systems Certification (Vmware, Redhat, Openstack)
• Knowledge in Nokia IP Networks products (7×50 Routers, 5620 SAM etc)
• Experience with Network Automation Scripting
• Python Scripting, Web Development knowledge
• Datacenter Firewall Applications knowledge
