Infrastructure Architect

Introduction
The infrastructure running industries likes transportation, energy, insurance, banking or healthcare is quickly changing as the world’s relationship with technology evolves. Companies have more choices than ever before between on-premise, off-premise, or a hybrid approach. Our Infrastructure Architects are responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Understanding the business problem and mapping business requirements to systems
• Analyzing system requirements of infrastructure components with NFR perspective
• Prepare design and solutions that satisfy the NFR for infrastructure domain
• Recommend alternative technologies and solutions taking constraints into account
• Plan and execute implementation of prepared design
• Lead technical teams in carrying out responsibilities
• Carry on technical ownership of delivering projects or maintaining an existing IT environment

Required Skills:

• Experience with at least one of strategic disruptive technologies (Cloud providers – i.e. MS/Google/Amazon, Container components – e.g. OpenShift / Kubernetes / Dockers, Automation tools – e.g. Jenkins/Ansible, SDN – e.g. ACI / NSX, etc)
• Deep experience with implementation of Infrastructure technologies (At least two of following areas: Server – including virtualization and OS level, Storage including virtualization and SAN, Backup/Recovery including HW and appropriate SW solutions, Networking – vendor independent, Middleware at a platform level, DB at a platform level )
• Experience in designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions
• Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issues
• Experience planning and developing support processes and adhering to best practices
• Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to take the lead in problem solving and coordination of multi-disciplinary groups
• At least 5 years of experience in related position with at least 10 years’ experience in infrastructure technologies

• Familiar with IBM HW technologies (e.g. Mainframes, Power Systems etc)
• Sector familiarity (Finance, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Telecom etc)
• TOGAF or similar certification
• Vendor professional certification
• Project management experience

Personal Qualifications

• Diploma of university (preferably technical departments)
• Good written and verbal skills in English
• Free of compulsory military services
• Have no restriction to travel
