Job Role: HR Strategy and Planning Intern
Purpose
Continuously making organizational improvements across all departments in the company by evaluating and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Not only do you plan, coach, and consult with individuals and teams to solve organizational challenges, you also design and implement organizational development and performance programs and career frameworks. Collaboration and communication with staff and management is also a key part of the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist to HR Strategy and Planning team in creating and implementing programs at work that connect employees with business goals.
- Act as a project member in business initiatives to ascertain appropriate programs that meet company and HR department goals.
- Develop methods for data file formatting, data analysis methodologies, and management reporting.
- Learn and use effective strategic planning methods.
- Identify data collection tools, data sources, benchmarks, and performance targets.
- Implement organizational effectiveness interventions.
- Take a support role in creating competency models.
- Help employees create project timelines and deadlines.
- Implement necessary changes in all aspects of operation.
- Understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies and update them accordingly.
- Play a supporting role in methods of measuring if performance management aligns with organizational goals.
- Pay a supporting role in career management framework project, help completing job profiles in each job family.
- Help in training and development operational processes.
Experience and Skill Set
- Internship experience within HR practices or management consultancy is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Programs.
- Experience with Pivot Tables, Formula Writing and Charts in Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Ability to generate reports and analyze data.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
- Highly organized, detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Quick learner and adaptable to change.
Education and Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Graduate student in relevant fields e.g. industrial/management engineering, business management, economics.
