We have a very rare opportunity for an HE Advisor/Coordinator to join our META team to provide first line HR advice, support and guidance for all HR related activities in the business.

In order to be successful in the role you will need experience working in a global matrix environment, the knowledge and experience across the people agenda and of implementing employment law, as well as providing operational insight.

You will work with teams, managers, and key stakeholders across the META region, to help build the organisation and people capability, shaping and implementing effective people strategies and activities within the business.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Operational business partnering

  • Provide HR advice and varying administration support for all HR related activities including, resourcing, employee relations, compensation, induction, reward, performance management, sickness absence, learning & development to high quality standards and in a timely manner and work with the HRBP to build organisational and people capabilities, to achieve optimal effect and impact on business performance.
  • Provide operational insight, advice, knowledge and experience across the annual people agenda for a defined client base and support the HRBP in contract with stakeholders to agree demand for HR support in line with HR service delivery.
  • Support the HRBP in analysing and provide insights into people capability issues which impact business performance
  • Conducting employee relations training
  • Provide advice in accordance with BSI people processes and procedures on a range of people and employee relations topics to contribute to the delivery of the people agenda.
  • Analyse best practice, risk and commercial drivers to advise managers on fit for purpose solutions.
  • Reviewing existing HR policies and providing suggestions for changes where necessary.
  • Advise in aspects of employment law relevant to region covered, support the business to interpret HR policies by providing sound advice and ensure adherence to company values and objectives promptly and reliably.
  • Resolve Employee Relations Issues by overseeing grievance procedures, investigate employee disciplinary actions and facilitate conflict resolutions.
  • Support and advise managers with resourcing to assist in ensuring that the headcount is maintained at agreed levels with competent staff, advising on job descriptions and supporting managers to carry out the interview process in line with the Talent Acquisition COE standards and guidelines.
  • Advising across the HR calendar including but not exclusive to payroll, employment law, labour relations and initiatives e.g. pay review and PDR process
  • Support the HRBP in driving the Strategic People Planning (SPP) process for the business areas, in line with Global processes.
  • Work with the HRBP and HR Operations Support to provide and analyse timely management information and KPI’s on key HR metrics, identifying appropriate HR solutions to any areas of concern.
  • Support the delivery of the annual pay review and bonus process.

Organisation design and change

  • Support the HRBP on organisational design and development, working with stakeholders to implement change programmes for future business requirements.
  • Support the HRBP to create and implement local policies and procedures in line with best practice, across the region.

BSI culture and talent development

  • Coach, support and guide line managers to ensure that they understand best practice across the employee lifecycle, process and procedures to grow managerial capability to support the achievement of business goals.
  • Facilitate, coach, challenge and develop managers and their teams to influence their individual and collective mindset, behaviour and performance in order to achieve targeted business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with your HRBP(s), reach out for support in development areas.

Project Management

  • Support and lead HR projects, as necessary.

Candidate Specification:

  • Degree educated
  • HR specific Qualification (CIPD or equivalent) either qualified or studying towards – desirable
  • Knowledge of relevant employment law, HR policies and procedures and best practice
  • Experience in working effectively in teams
  • Experience in supporting and leading projects and implementing new initiatives
  • Experience working within a Global Matrix environment
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills to support succinct correspondence and reporting and communicate with a diverse community
  • Additional languages: Turkish, Arabic and Afrikaans is desirable.
