HEALTH & SAFETY SPECIALIST

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Ensure compliance of all processes with the H&S laws, global policies and guidelines
  • Perform compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure H&S policies
  • Perform constant follow-up to ensure employees are following safety requirements
  • Manage and control of Safety Management System
  • Conduct health & safety training, testing, and record-keeping for all employees (OHS Awareness, Fall Protection, First Aid, Search & Rescue, etc.)
  • Plan, organize and conduct Health and Safety Committee meetings and publish the meeting report periodically, follow up the action plans, support the other committees of the company
  • Provide support to healthcare (health services) and monitor regulatory changes
  • Provide guidance on preparing maintenance plans, periodic inspections and tests and controlling these activities
  • Cooperates across functions and with business partners to raise awareness of OHS standards and initiatives and drive performance, engages with internal and external stakeholders to build commitment and credibility
  • Perform investigations of injury and loss incidents, identify causal factors, develop and implement measures to prevent recurrence, and ensure long-term resolution
  • Lead project teams and contractors to develop, implement and monitor H&S standards and programs in contractual conditions
  • Ensure that required work permits are acquired, that reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and any site permit conditions (e.g. sampling, recordkeeping) are met
  • Participate in formal HSE reviews of existing equipment modifications, new equipment purchases, and changes in site processes
  • Conduct periodic review of local safety documents (policies, work instructions, forms, manuals etc) and make recommendations for improvement
  • Report regularly Health & Safety activities
  • Develop, and deliver programs that will increase the knowledge of health and safety regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering departments
  • Minimum 3 years experienced in Health & Safety area
  • Occupational Safety Expert Certificate (Min. B Class)
  • Preferably, 1 year of experience with ISO 45001
  • Strong follow up and reporting skills
  • Excellent practical thinking and attention
  • Collaboration and persuasion skills
  • To have a high sense of responsibility, to be open to research, learning, and education
  • Advanced knowledge of standard MS Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • No military obligations for male candidates
  • Driver’s license
  • No travel restrictions
