HPE Pointnext is currently seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates for a position as a GreenLake Channel Solution Architect for Turkey & Czechia.

You will work directly with HPE peers, sales representatives, partners, and customers, to design Infrastructure as a Service consumption model solutions, covering technology areas including Compute, Storage, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure and Networking.

You will be the bridge between sales and delivery – and work with HPE’s sales representatives providing technical expertise, solution advice, proposal creation, presentation delivery, and other customer-related communications.

As the GreenLake Channel Solution Architect, you will be responsible for delivering business value to partners and customers by architecting effective consumption-based IT solutions that address partners/customer’s business problems, needs, and opportunities in a manner consistent with company’s strategic and business goals.

In this role, you will focus on solutioning and architecting HPE GreenLake consumption-based offerings to meet customer requirements. You will have knowledge of architectural frameworks, methodologies, and tools, and understand how to apply this knowledge to successfully deliver customer projects. You will establish and maintain a professional working relationship at multiple levels both internally and within the partner/customer accounts by understanding the partner’s/customer’s business context and their unique situation.

As the GreenLake Channel Solution Architect, you will actively participate in the sales process and

  • Architect custom solutions of project and program or operational scope, focusing on HPE GreenLake Flex Capacity, Advisory and Professional Services, and other solutions, building consumption offerings for HPE customers
  • Identify key risks of the solution and propose mitigation plans
  • Price the designed solution, and build price to achieve profitable and winning solutions
  • Create business case to show the value of the solution proposed to the customer
  • Develop and deliver sales and technical presentations for different partner and customer stakeholders for medium to large opportunities
  • Collaborate effectively with the Program / Project Manager to manage regional medium to large projects as necessary;
  • Follow all Deal Governance and approval processes
  • Assist in development and delivery of training
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members
  • Contribute to the development of new company services and modifications to the methodology
    Make consistent and ongoing contributions (at least 2 per year) to the company knowledge systems
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Responsibilities

Opportunity analysis.

  • Gathers and assesses customer needs, both business and technical.
  • Identifies related needs (lead generation, opportunity expansion).
  • Identifies site-specific and corporate parameters and constraints that impact the solution.
  • Identifies required project steps.
  • Identifies likely problem areas that require attention.
  • Identifies probable competition and product roll-out data/training needs and evaluates relative company strengths.

Solution Planning and Design.

  • Architects and prices an appropriate technical solution to meet the customer’s business requirements.
  • Investigates and optimizes a solution’s fit to the requirements of an opportunity, both current and future.
  • Adapts solution design to new requirements.
  • Establishes the validity of a solution and its components.
  • Identifies the growth path and scalability options of a solution and includes these in design activities.
  • Anticipates some of the potential challenges for the proposed project plan.
  • Anticipates and plans for competitive threats.

Client/customer relationship.

  • Maintains excellent communications with partner/customer executive management across the Region.
  • Represents the company as a technical expert with partners & customers;
  • Advances opportunities through the use of effective consultative selling techniques.
  • Builds customer & partner loyalty through being a trusted advisor.
  • Partners effectively with others in the account to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicates and articulates the details of their component roles in a proposed customer solution.

Team collaboration.

  • Actively supports the account team and the channel with solution advice, proposals, presentations, and other customer communications.
  • Analyses and provides support to deals in the pipeline where needed.
  • Transfers knowledge to Presales peers.
  • Understands the roles and effectively engages other teams and resources within the company and partners.
  • Identifies overlooked opportunities suggested by technical expertise.

Qualifications: Education and Experience Required

  • Technical University or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Typically 8-12 years experience in technical consultative selling and account management.
  • 5+ years’ experience architecting enterprise IT solutions
  • Experience in vertical industry preferred.
  • 3+ years of Consumption as a Service sales experience
  • AWS or Azure Cloud Practitioner certification
  • ITIL or ITSM certification
  • English and Turkish is a must; Czech language ideal
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required by the Business and in respect of the health instructions related to Covid situation.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Ability to understand the customer’s business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a GreenLake solution that appropriately addresses it; able to design planning for accessibility, scalability, and availability
  • Ability to lead the architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of medium to large business unit-level IT based solutions, and participate in the pricing of the solution designed
  • Develops architecture specification deliverables that map customer business requirements into specific technology or operational recommendations
  • Ability to apply business management and financial concepts, capital investment, financial modelling, and general aspects of business contracts
  • Ability to write Statements of Work (SOW) for small, medium to large business unit level solutions that span multiple technologies or operational areas
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with and work on project teams (individual success will be defined by how the organization works as a team, including resource and skill sharing across the organization)
  • Ability to strategically position the company offering against the competition
  • Able to design and effectively present high-impact messages to partner/customer senior-level management

Business acumen.

  • Leverages financial and accounting concepts as well as capital investment concepts in demonstrating business value of proposed solutions to customers.
  • Creates solutions that creatively address customer value chain and business requirements.
  • Persuasively communicates the value of the solution in terms of financial return and impact on customer business goals.
  • Appropriately tailors communications to varying levels of customer management.

Industry acumen.

  • Extensive level of industry acumen; keeps current with trends and able to converse with client on issues and challenges Solution selling.
  • Demonstrates strong communications skills with executive managers, as well as some C-level executives.
  • Leverages strong understanding of the competition – both positioning strategy and technology – to create competitive advantage for the company.
