As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for an experienced Environmental and Social (E&S) Expert to join our Due Diligence team. Location is flexible within Europe.
In this role, you will join our advisory team of international experts who are passionate about making the world a more sustainable place!
What youâll learn & achieve::
- Perform detailed review of:
- E&S impact assessment studies and reports
- E&S permits and authorizations

Provide advice on:
- adequacy, sufficiency, and completeness
- identified impacts and proposed mitigation measures
- any risks or restrictions to the development/construction/operation of the project
- Review and assess a project’s E&S permit status against the country/region-specific E&S legal framework
- Provide advice to project developers to achieve compliance with Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and regulations
- Support project developers in defining E&S Management/Action Plans (ESMP/ESAP)
- Review compliance of a project with E&S standards and regulations during construction and operation
- Review and assess Health & Safety topics, especially during construction work
What makes you a great fit::
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the renewable sector, ideally in wind/solar due diligence, project development, construction, and operation
- Clear and deep understanding of the typical steps of a due diligence process
- Exhaustive understanding of all E&S aspects related to the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects (wind and solar) and associated infrastructure
- Exhaustive understanding for, and assess a project against, ESG frameworks such as:
- Equator Principles
- IFC Performance Standards
- EIB E&S Standards
- Green Bond/Loan Principles
- World Bank E&S Framework
- Be highly motivated, with a versatile personality and excellent interpersonal skills
- Client oriented, problem solver, willing to deal with challenges and used to work under pressure and tight deadlines for deliverables
- Language Skills: English is a must; other language skills will be highly valuable
