The Work You’ll Do:
As the Director, Global Accounting at Sovos, you will be responsible for the assessment of all accounting matters. You will partner closely with members of the Sovos Finance, Corporate Development, and Legal teams, along with independent auditors to ensure accurate reporting and full compliance with all external standards. You will also have the opportunity to lead and assist in special projects and process improvements.

What will you specifically do when you start?

Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure

Prepare reporting and consolidation to internal and external stakeholders

Research technical accounting matters and assist in the preparation of technical accounting whitepapers.

Prepares audited financial statements including disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and financial reporting to internal key stakeholders

Develop global accounting policies and procedures

Oversight of internal control environment including documentation and support of key controls

Coordination with external auditors on audit related issues

Assists with implementation of new GAAP accounting standards

Ad-hoc special projects including system improvement initiatives

Works closely with business units as advisor on daily accounting policy

Provide global governance for ERP system administration and initiatives

What we are looking for from you:
Background working with foreign currency, consolidations, technical accounting, and research and reporting

Strong comprehension of US GAAP principles

Knowledge of ERP systems, NetSuite is preferred

Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Turkish is a plus!

Minimal travel to other Sovos locations and events once travel resumes
