Key Responsibilities

  • Complete knowledge of foreign trade and customs regulation, import transaction, stock control and management, all documentation & procedures required during importation, customs tariff, origin, customs valuation, and follow closely the requirements to hold authorized economic operator status
  • Managing products’ specifications, setting up HS Code, tax ratios and descriptions in the system
  • Communicating with global partners to get needed importation documents, supervising the performance and KPI management for customs related transactions
  • Coordinating customs tax payment orders with local and global accounting teams and advising customs brokers and bonded warehouses with payment receipt
  • Controlling of various expenses and costs related to imports and exports (including int. freight invoices, taxes, and all domestic costs), budget preparation and follow up
  • Managing the performance of international/local vendors related to the customs operations and maintaining relationships between customs brokers & bonded warehouses
  • Leading external (inc. ISO, AEO) and internal audits with related parties


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in a reputable university

  • Experience in Foreign Trade or Customs departments of reputable companies or managerial experience in customs broker companies or being worked at customs authority is a definitive asset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Turkish and English

  • Excellent command on MS Office applications

  • Knowledge of SAP

  • Ability to lead multi tasks, Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving Skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve group goals and empower people to work together to accomplish business results

  • Strategic and courageous leadership skills
