ETG Commodities Inc. is a fast-growing pulses and specialty crops company with over $250 million of revenue and over 300,000 MT of annual volume. ETG has three primarily operating divisions: 1. Export Trade; 2. Import Wholesale, and; 3. Facility Operations. The Company is headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario and has operating facilities in Ontario and Saskatchewan, including warehousing and processing plants, along with a large-scale splitting facility.

ETG Commodities Inc. is currently seeking a high caliber candidate with excellent trading skills and in-depth knowledge of Grain trading with a focus on the Middle East & North Africa Market. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and within a team environment, demonstrate sound decision-making aptitude and delivery customer service excellence. They will be responsible for the overall development of the trading market, including the following:

Duties:

  • Aggressively target potential markets to generate business – expand network of customers and develop current customers.
  • As a positive company ambassador, develop and maintain strong relationships with producers and customers.
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong risk management skills and knowledge: proactively manage for optimal outcomes.
  • Keep up-to-date with grain trends and market conditions to ensure competitiveness.
  • Administer, promote and adhere to purchase, sale and production contracts, ensuring compliance with all related policies and process.
  • Manage contracts from the point of shipping to receiving proper payments with contract terms.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistic team.
  • Establish and implement short and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Promote positive relations with key customer and brokers at all levels.
  • Ensure retention of existing business.
  • Work in compliance with ETG Commodities Inc. Occupational Health and Safety Policy.

Employment Qualification and Requirements:

You are a self-motivated individual that enjoys working autonomously in a fast-paced environment. You are a clear and concise communicator and take pride in your work by paying a high attention to detail. You are a team player that leads by example and you take ownership of your responsibilities and special projects to ensure key deadlines and objectives are consistently met.

  • Degree in Business, Economics or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of sales or trading experience in food and Beveridge.
  • Solid understanding of one or more of the specified markets an asset.
  • Possess and demonstrated leadership ability, team management and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
  • Proven track record for building business in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experienced in partnering with an executive leadership team, resulting in the development and implementation of creative business strategies.
  • Knowledge of international trade terms and risks.
  • Ability to adjust with customer and regional needs
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required, fluency in Turkish language a strong asset.
