To support that challenge, we are currently looking for Central Anatolia – Black Sea Area Field Expert, Seeds TR – Field Crops.

ROLE PURPOSE
Understand the value of hybrids proposed from Seed Development in earlier stages and locally test them across country to generate sufficient data to “build the story” of seeds and technically position them in portfolio properly to achieve effective commercial launches and sales performance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work closely with Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Technical Sales Representatives (TSR), Product Managers (PMs) locally and Seeds Development, Marketing and Breeding teams regionally.
  • Manage effectively the given seeds technical trials area budget.
  • Analyze trial requirements in collaboration with all stakeholders and define the most efficient ways to plan, execute and drive the results.
  • Liaise with growers, R&D and external partners to find the most effective & efficient ways to implement the targeted technical trials.
  • Cooperate trials result sharing meetings on country / sales area level and provide necessary information.
  • Lead to have an open learning culture in the TSR teams, support them with required materials and sustain periodical technical learning sessions.
  • Invest required customer complaints, prepare reports and efficiently share outcomes locally and regionally with relevant teams to help to create healthy portfolios.

“Building & Confirming Local Story”;

  • Align with Head of Technical TR, relevant regional trialing teams and consult with ASMs and PMs on technical trial plans & protocols to build the story for our targeted hybrids (across a range of agronomic & market conditions). Identify measurable technical attributes for our hybrids and integrated solutions.
  • Align with Head of Technical and Product Managers on proposed Benchmark trials & protocols to sufficiently understand our competitors’ offers.
  • Once technical trialing plan is agreed with Head of BA, ensure that trials are executed according to protocol and all data is captured on the agreed platforms in line with the defined deadlines.
  • Actively maintain link to local R&D and visit R&D trials to have early insights about promoted hybrids before they are tested in technical trials.
  • Analyze data in relation to trial targets and share results & insights locally and regionally via agreed tools or in the required templates.
  • Ensure being compliant with HSEQ mindset.
  • Actively contribute to the key farm & grower visits and local farm days to support local sales teams.
  • Ensure that “Technical Launch Plans” are adjusted to fit local BA needs.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset in trials.
  • Align with PMs on proposed re-positioning technical trial plans & protocols.
  • Co-operate with CP Technical team to create integrated solutions in relevant crop.

“Seeing is believing” Trials

  • Support PMs for Farm trial plans & protocols to ensure the desired value proposition is optimally conveyed to our customers.
  • Analyze data in relation to trial targets, consolidate the outcomes & insights to support products and share results with the corresponding audience in BA.
  • Provide detailed info for the new materials before the crop launches to support right positioning and efficient product management.

Crop expertise

  • Provide agronomic support, training and coaching to the TSRs, PMs, ASMs, key customers and growers. In order to support team development, provide training materials and periodically setup learning sessions for team members in the relevant working area.
  • Follow agronomical innovations and technologies in the seed sector and report actively.

Stakeholder & Influencer Management

  • Play an active role as key technical link to the critical influencers, channel partners and other stakeholders to optimally position Syngenta for Technical Excellence within the assigned crop markets & areas (e.g. grower partnership opportunities, create centers of influence)

Claim Management

  • Support sales force to resolve grower claims and create new opportunities.
  • Analyze customer complaints and consider the results in the future trial plans, learning materials. Actively report outcomes and provide sustainable solutions.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES

Critical experience and skills

  • Either a degree in Agriculture Engineering or extensive practical experience in agronomy,
  • Strong agronomical background in Corn and Sunflowers,
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships internally and externally, strong team player,
  • Understands customer needs, market drivers and trends,
  • Minimum 3 yrs. experience as Sales Rep., Demand Creator, or Field Scientist in the agribusiness sector,
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills to successfully manage each trialing season,
  • Solid crop and product knowledge,
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office user),
  • Fluent in English,
  • Analytical thinking, solution-oriented mindset,
  • Project management skills,
  • Marketing orientation,
  • Trialing ability.

Others

  • Ability to work in the field conditions,
  • Role requires travel within TR and possibly in Europe,
  • Driving license. Being a compliant driver with traffic rules is must.
