Associate Director – Talent Management & Organizational Development

As an Associate Director within our Talent Management & Organization Alignment practice, you will provide strategic, evidence-based guidance to client organizations such that they can enable business strategies and improve how they attract, retain and engage talent. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative and practical solutions across a range of human capital activities, including employee experience & engagement, talent analytics, career architecture, competency modelling, organizational design, performance management, and leadership succession and development. You will be responsible for leading project delivery teams, retaining existing business and developing new business.

The Role

To be effective in this role, you will need strong business acumen along with confidence to interact with senior executives, lead groups and serve as a trusted advisor. Comfort navigating ambiguity and uncertainty, organized thinking and communication skills, and a willingness to engage in both strategic design and tactical implementation are also critical to success in this position.

  • Sell, develop and implement solutions including employee experience & engagement, talent analytics, career architecture, competency modelling, organizational design, performance management, and leadership succession and development.
  • Provide practical insights into how best to motivate and manage the workforce of today and plan for the workforce of tomorrow
  • Partner with colleagues across the Talent line of business to sell and deliver integrated advice, data and software that help clients hire, build, engage and lead the talent they need to win
  • Demonstrate effective sales leadership behaviours, including team collaboration, creativity, compelling RFP writing, persistent follow-up, sound judgment in scoping/pricing, and focusing on closing the deal
  • Build relationships with internal and external cross-functional teams to maximize the penetration of key target accounts
  • Deliver profitable revenue to the business through individual sales and billable hours goals
  • Balance high-value strategic delivery with effective delegation, while enforcing budget, timeline and quality standards

The Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales and business development in a consulting environment
  • Experience with preferably in Leadership Development & Coaching, Assessment Tools and Platforms, Competency Modelling, New Generation Performance Philosophy, Career Architecture Design and Succession Planning.
  • Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization
  • An executive presence with polished and well-developed facilitation, written and oral communication skills
  • Track record of success in building and maintaining global client relationships, leading global teams and generating revenue
  • Understanding of agile principles and design thinking
  • Experience managing concurrent, multi-dimensional projects and people on time and within budget
  • Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges
  • Ability to draw conclusions from data in a logical, systematic way
  • Understanding of agile principles and design thinking
  • Availability to travel on an as-needed basis
  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degrees preferable) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Engineering, Business Management, Psychology/Sociology, or any other major with significant qualitative and quantitative course work
