Set to open in early 2021, Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul, will be Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s second hotel in Turkey. The hotel will enjoy a prime location on the sunny shores of the Bosphorus, situated on the European side of Istanbul in the high-end residential Kuruçeşme neighborhood.

The urban resort, with its lush generous enchanted gardens, will feature two outdoor pools and private wooden pavilions on the shores of the Bosphorus. Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul will be comprised of 100 spacious guestrooms and suites, innovative restaurants & bars and expensive and elegant banqueting facilities. Spread over 2,700 square meters, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul will become one of Istanbul’s best wellness and beauty destination.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

To support, develop, implement, and adhere to corporate & hotel Human Resources policies and procedures.

To understand and assist in the preparation of the hotel Human Resources Budget and Business Plan.

To manage all vacancies and recruitment function, in line with budget requirements, reviewing where necessary in line with operational needs.

To provide specialized Human Resources support (coaching, counselling, performance management etc.) to Department Heads and colleagues in order to achieve the hotel strategic business objectives.

To manage all employees’ procedures with regard to starters, transfers, promotions and variations plus leavers.

To ensure that all Human Resources administration procedures are carried out in accordance with hotel and legal requirements.

Represent the HRD in their absence.

To complete day to day personnel administration in response to requests and action plans.

To manage and administer Disciplinary & Grievance procedures in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources.

Effective employees’ relations regarding employee welfare, health, hygiene, and safety are maintained.

Employee social activities are offered as appropriate.

The Human Resources department follows an open-door policy and is a friendly and inviting office to visit. Oversee the day-to-day HR operations and the workflow of the department.

Requirements

Prior Luxury Hotel experience would be preferable.

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Fluent in Turkish and English.

Quality driven with a passion for excellence.

Must possess excellent organizational and administrative skills and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task and delegate.

Approachable, open-minded, and fair.
