Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul
Set to open in early 2021, Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul, will be Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s second hotel in Turkey. The hotel will enjoy a prime location on the sunny shores of the Bosphorus, situated on the European side of Istanbul in the high-end residential Kuruçeşme neighborhood.
The urban resort, with its lush generous enchanted gardens, will feature two outdoor pools and private wooden pavilions on the shores of the Bosphorus. Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul will be comprised of 100 spacious guestrooms and suites, innovative restaurants & bars and expensive and elegant banqueting facilities. Spread over 2,700 square meters, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul will become one of Istanbul’s best wellness and beauty destination.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Together with the Director of Commerce & Strategy implement the agreed rate structure and strategy for all market segments.
- Direct all sales activities for sales managers and ensure that they meet the goals of the marketing plan and preparation of the necessary documentation.
- Analyze and review market changes and implement programs with the sales team to meet these changes.
- Maintain close relationships with all key decision-makers both in local and international markets.
- Conduct wholesale and corporate negotiations and finalize contracts with tour operators, agents and corporate accounts in his/her respective markets.
- Work closely with the Regional Sales Offices to ensure that the measurable results targets are achieved.
- Analyze and evaluate client production with sales managers and implement sales action plans.
- Attend selected fairs, roadshows and workshops
- Implement all sales action plans in the marketing plan.
- Creating all necessary reports as required by the management
- Responsible for executing the annual training plan for the sales department and ensure that all members of the sales team have completed the Sales Training Programs
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Director of Commerce & Strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years working experience in the luxury hotel industry
- Previous experience is essential in similar role, must have been a Director of Sales for a minimum of 2 years
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field
- Knowledge of Group, Corporate and FIT segments.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Turkish.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel,Word and Power Point
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and motivate his/her team.
- Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
