We’re looking for talented individuals to join our Professional Service Delivery team in SAS Turkey to help our customers bridge the gap between their data and the solutions they need. As an Analytical Consultant, you will be responsible for the delivery of SAS analytical solutions across a wide variety of industries.

What you’ll do
  • Provides analytical consulting services for customer engagements.
  • Translates customer business needs into analytics requirements and analytics results into business outcomes.
  • Analyzes raw and structured data, creates new features leveraging data engineering and statistical concepts.
  • Investigates alternate data sources by discovering patterns, data science, and visualization components to support business needs.
  • Develops a wide array of statistical, econometrics, and advanced analytic methods, including Machine Learning and AI to drive business insights and support data-driven decisions.
  • Manages the analytics lifecycle, including data preparation, training data generation, feature engineering, optimization, experimentation, reproducibility, deployment, automation, and end-to-end workflow management.
  • Works closely with the customer and builds a trusted advisor relationship with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Delivers and drives model/analytics insights throughout the organization, helping to support data-driven decision-making at all levels of a wide range of customers.
  • Provides coaching and guidance on data science best practices in all areas of the organization.
  • Assists in the estimation and development of the scopes for the consulting project
  • Assists in pre-sales activities (i.e helping engagements and PoC’s, responding RFP/RFI, etc.)

What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Statistics or closely related fields (Preferably MSc level candidates )
  • 5+ years of practical experience in analytics consulting or data science related roles (client-facing experience is a big plus)
  • Experience delivering large scale AI/ML projects from scratch
  • A comprehensive understanding (and hands-on experience) of data science disciplines such as machine learning, forecasting, NLP, computer vision, ModelOps, optimization, and statistical analysis
  • Experience, especially in SAS, SQL, or data science open-source software (R, Python or Spark)
  • Strong communication & presentation skills in English and Turkish, coupled with analytical and problem-solving abilities, and comfortable working at both “C” level and with users.
  • Passionate and driven individual analytically minded who enjoys challenges and strives for excellence. Able to work proactively both individually or within a team.
  • A curious mind, probing and questioning skills to uncover customer challenges – understand business processes and associated business problems, and to articulate where and how SAS technology and solutions can address.
  • Ability to travel as business requirements dictate
  • Public speaking or classroom teaching experience (nice to have)
  • A hunger to work hard, have fun, and develop professionally.
